1. Acceptance of terms

By using the Trace website or engaging Trace ITAD for IT asset disposition services, you agree to these terms.

2. Services

Trace provides free bulk pickup within our regional on-site service area and prepaid mail-in drive kits nationwide. Standard service includes a free data wipe aligned to NAID AAA / i-SIGMA specifications, and free chain-of-custody documentation. Physical destruction of drives is available for $10 per drive. Recoverable assets may be refurbished and resold, with value credited or shared per the terms of your written quote. Full service descriptions are published on our ITAD services and pricing page; final pricing and scope for any engagement is confirmed in a written quote prior to scheduling.

3. Client responsibilities

Clients are responsible for accurately representing the equipment to be picked up or shipped, including any items containing hazardous materials, for packing mail-in kits per the provided instructions, and for ensuring pickup locations are accessible at the scheduled time.

4. Limitation of liability

Liability for any single engagement is limited to the value of that engagement except where applicable law provides otherwise. Trace is not responsible for loss or delay caused by third-party shipping carriers, though chain-of-custody documentation covers each handoff.

5. Website content

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Trace ITAD is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
